What to Consider when looking for Clinics that offer Laser Services?

Sharjah University Laser Technology and Research Center can give you hands-on experience by providing Laser Competence Courses.

1. Board Certified in an accepted cosmetic/aesthetic field. Many laser offices today are run by physicians who trained in fields outside of Dermatology or Plastic Surgery. Most of these fields generally include no training in cosmetic procedures, laser surgery, or even an in-depth knowledge of skin anatomy, structure and function. Make sure that any physician that treats you for any condition is Board Certified which they claim.

2. Physician personally performs or directly supervises all laser procedures. Unfortunately, many laser practices delegate most procedures to minimally trained technicians, and often no physician is even on site. This can often lead to poor results and unwanted side effects. Many countries around the world are now passing laws to limit the use of lasers by non-physicians because of these complications.

3. Make sure the practice utilizes only the best laser technology. While many laser practices or big box national and international companies may say they use latest or best technology, review the clinic’s information under each of the lasers. They are recognized industry-wide as the top lasers in the field. Make sure they follow all new laser developments, and ensuring that their patients get the best, not just the newest, laser treatments.

  1. This one would be very helpful for those who want to have laser treatments. There are lots of existing clinics now that actually do not have a licensed/certified doctor to be qualified in operating the business. So everybody should be very careful about it. But for those who had their hands-on training in Sharjah University Laser Technology and Research Center, it is assured that those people who will execute the laser treatment is a certified one.
